Welcome to the Precision Rifle Series (PRS) Federal King of Coal Canyon AG Cup Qualifier. This is the second year for the King of Coal Canyon and is hosted by Severance Training Center (STC).

Located in Raton, New Mexico on the world-class NRA Whittington Center. It is a beautiful Large secluded range. This will be a field-style match with mostly natural terrain shooting positions, with minimal man-made barricades. There will be no gimmick/luck stages and the course of fire has been designed in a way that will leave no stages up to luck or chance, but to skill and consistency. We are very excited to offer this unique venue to you once again for one of the best matches of 2023. Come check out the amazing venue and one of the best COFs in the country.

The Course of Fire will be around 200 rounds with targets from 300-1100ish yards with the majority inside 800. Expect 20 stages planned by Derek Love STC (Severance Training Center Owner), and Michael Beemer. The match directors of the Punisher Positional and the Box Canyon Showdown in Kansas.

The Federal King of Coal Canyon is an AG Cup qualifier. You must have a paid AG Cup and PRS Pro series membership in order to participate in the AG Cup Division. Entry to the AG Cup Division is an additional $250 and 100% of those entries are paid out to the top AG Cup shooters.

There are no refunds for match or AG Cup entries. You may transfer your spot to another competitor up to one week prior to the match. You must notify us by email regarding any transfer requests.

Several hotels are available just 10 minutes from the range in Raton. Competitors may also lodge on-site in competitor housing or camper spots can be reserved by reaching out to the NRA Whittington Center.
