2025 SAPRL - Prairie Classic: Gunslinger Showdown

Medicine Hat, Alberta

EVENT DETAILS

We at SAPRL would like to announce our third and possibly final match for the 2025 season, the legendary Prairie Classic!

This year the Prairie Classic is taking on a new look and feel. With the inclusion of the PRS Regional Series we have taken on the responsibility of hosting the Foothills Region Centerfire Finale!

This Regional Finale weekend will be held on September 6th and 7th and the weekend will go as follows:

Day 1: Prairie Classic: Gunslinger Showdown, a PRS Centerfire Regional Match

Day 2: Prairie Classic: High Noon on the Badlands, the PRS Foothills Regional Finale

By attending this weekend you will earn 2 matches towards the PRS Regional Series points race, one of which being a finale match. To be awarded an invite to the Precision Rifle Series Finale through the Regional Series a competitor will need four matches total. One being a Regional Qualifier and another being a Regional Finale. Qualifiers are to be announced at a later date.

A PRS membership is not necessary to compete at this event and we welcome shooters of all skill levels to attend! You also do not need to be a part of the Foothills Region for the Regional Finale to count towards your year end match points.

The match will focus on a shooter's fundamentals of movement, target acquisition, and time management while on the clock. With new props and targets at our disposal we look to provide competitors with a weekend that will be a highlight of the matches they experience in Canada. We encourage competitors of all skill levels to come and participate! The course of fire has been meticulously planned out to ensure that not only the competitive shooters are challenged but newer participants have a fantastic time as well. Our number one goal is to grow this sport!

The match will be located just 23 minutes (32 kms / 20 miles) North West of Central Medicine Hat down Highway 1 and Highway 524. Further directions to the official location will be provided in the registration email for competitors.
