Welcome to the Go Big Tactical Hunter Challenge y'all! Shooters, please take a moment to read through this as there is some very good info on what to expect! This is our very first PRS Rimfire match hosted by the BCPRL, so if you'd like your scores to count for the series, please sign up on the Precision Rifle Series' website for their RIMFIRE yearly membership.

Location: Nicola Valley Fish and Game Club
Directions: Drive West of Merritt on highway 8 towards Spences Bridge. Travel 8 km to Lower Nicola. Turn right onto Aberdeen road. Travel for 7.2km and the range will be on your right-hand side. Look for signage when you get close!

This is a one day, precision RIMFIRE match hosted by the BC Precision Rifle League and will challenge shooters and hunters of all skill levels. The match will be a variation on our standard match format with an approach to making precision rifle skills more practical! We want to invite both the precision hunters and precision rifle competitors to a venue to test their mettle against small targets from hunting oriented positions. This match will be challenging yet fun and fair, and will be both physically and mentally demanding. Premium Prairie Precision Steel will be the target of choice. Most stages will have some sort of stress involved. Either timed or varying target sizes. There will be many different barricades and natural terrain to navigate through while shooting the match as well. Come prepared! It is not supposed to be super easy. Again, Come Prepared and be ready to have a great time!!

We strive to have minimal down time.

Shooters can expect ranges of 10 yard to 450 yards. Many targets will be in the 50-150 range. Absolutely no target ranges will be given the entire match, however, the entire squad must find all of the targets and range them before the first shooter on the squad will begin shooting. We'll be running NRL Hunter style rules so; 1 target - 4 positions OR 2 targets - 2 positions OR 4 targets - 1 position. 1st round impacts kill it (2 pts), 2nd round impacts are worth less (1 pt), there will be no more shots than 2 at any given target.

OTHER INFO

Calibers for the match will be 22LR ONLY for rifle.
Round count will be +/- 100 rifle if you get all your shots off. Bring Extra for Re-zero, reshoots, practice after the match, etc. You will be required to carry all your gear with you all day. And there will be some hiking so pack accordingly. If anyone needs extra accommodation please don’t hesitate to ask.
It’s potentially going to be cold, and rainy. Come with gear you need to be comfortable, however, you will have to carry it with you all day through ~2km or so.
We will have 8-10 stages over the course of the day for you guys. It's going to be a blast. We have been working our butts off in the hopes you all have a good time. I think you will.

SCHEDULE

ACCOMMODATIONS

You can bring a tent if you would like. There is a large camping area for tents and trailers across the road from the range. We do not have hook ups, so it will be dry RV-ing only. You will see signs where the camping will take place. Follow the signs.
