EVENT DETAILS

DAY 1: PRS PRACTICAL

• 1 day of shooting (± 4-6 hours)
• 8 stages
• Minimum 80 rounds; Maximum 160 rounds (skill dependent, see Divisions)
• Each stage will have 4-6 target opportunities
• Stages will have tight par times
• Target distances 100-1000 meters, most within 300-800 meters
• Targets are mostly between 1.5 - 2.5 MOA
• Stage props to be used on some stages
• Movement within some stages
• Unconventional shooting positions might be required

DAY 2: PRS TACTICAL

• 1 day of shooting (± 4-6 hours)
• 8 stages
• Minimum 70 rounds / Maximum 140 rounds (skill dependent, see Divisions)
• Each stage will have 4-6 target opportunities
• Stages will have tight par times
• Target distances 300-1128 meters
• Targets are mostly between 1.5 - 2.5 MOA
• Stage props to be used on some stages
• Movement within some stages
• Unconventional shooting positions might be required

DIVISIONS & REQUIREMENTS

Open Division

• Minimum calibre: .224
• Maximum calibre: .338
• Maximum muzzle velocity: 3200fps
• Scoring:
- 1 hit required per target, maximum 2 shots per target
- 1st round hit: 2 points
- 2nd round hit: 1 point
• As per PRS Rules & SOP

Tactical Division

• Allowed calibres: .223 / 5.56 or .308 / 7.62x51
• Maximum muzzle velocity: 3200fps
• Scoring:
- 1 hit required per target, maximum 2 shots per target
- 1st round hit: 2 points
- 2nd round hit: 1 point
• As per PRS Rules & SOP

Production Division

• Minimum calibre: .224
• Maximum calibre: .338
• Maximum muzzle velocity: 3200fps
• Must be factory stock rifles.
• Rifle and Scope cannot exceed R45,000
• Rifle alone may not exceed R27,500
• Scope alone may not exceed R27,500
• Scoring:
- 1 hit required per target, maximum 2 shots per target
- 1st round hit: 2 points
- 2nd round hit: 1 point

Gas Gun - Heavy Division

• Semi-Automatic Rifles Only
• Allowed calibres: .308 Win / 7.62x51 NATO
• Maximum muzzle velocity: 3200fps
• Scoring:
- 1 hit required per target, maximum 3 shots per target
- 1st round hit: 2 points
- 2nd or 3rd round hit: 1 point
• As per PRS Rules & SOP

Gas Gun - Light Division

• Semi-Automatic Rifles Only
• Allowed calibres: .223 Rem / 5.56 NATO
• Maximum muzzle velocity: 3200fps
• Scoring:
- 1 hit required per target, maximum 5 shots per target
- 1st round hit: 2 points
- 2nd, 3rd, 4th or 5th round hit: 1 point
