Join the PRSuit: A New Field-Based Competition Series from the Precision Rifle Series

The Precision Rifle Series is proud to introduce PRSuit, a new competition format designed to expand the PRS experience into more dynamic, field-driven environments.

PRSuit focuses on range-and-engage scenarios that emphasize movement, positional adaptability, and real-time decision-making. Competitors will be challenged to locate, range, and engage targets under conditions that reward efficiency, awareness, and practical shooting skills.

We’re also excited to announce that SilencerCo has committed as the Title Partner of the PRSuit series, supporting the launch and continued development of this new format.

This new series represents a natural evolution of precision rifle competition, offering participants a fresh format while maintaining the standards and competitive integrity that define PRS.

WHAT TO EXPECT FROM THE PRSUIT FORMAT

PRSuit introduces a refined approach to field-based competition, designed to reward practical rifle setups and real-world performance.

At the core of the format is a structured handicap system that levels the playing field across all competitors. Instead of favoring heavy, highly specialized competition builds, PRSuit incentivizes shooters running rifles closer to practical field configurations.

  • Rifle Weight Factor
Competitors are scored based on rifle weight, with a baseline at 13 pounds. Lighter rifles can gain points, while heavier setups receive a small deduction, creating balance across equipment choices.
  • Power Factor Component
Ballistics also play a role, with scoring adjustments tied to power factor. Shooters are rewarded or penalized within a defined range, ensuring performance remains competitive across a wide variety of cartridges.
  • Production Rifle Incentive
Additional points are awarded for competitors running production-style rifles, further encouraging accessibility and realistic equipment choices.

This system creates a format where success is driven by skill, efficiency, and decision-making, not just equipment advantages.

Just as important, PRSuit gives Match Directors the freedom to design creative, scenario-driven stages that reflect practical shooting environments while still maintaining fair, head-to-head competition.
