    • Form is only valid for 60 days at a time
    • Form can be reused but must be re-authorized by the border agent each time you cross and declare the firearm
    • DO NOT SIGN THE FORM until you reach Canadian customs - you must sign in front of one of their representatives
    • OR declare your firearms at the border crossing and fill out the form that they provide in-person
  • Juniors (under 18) must be accompanied by a parent/guardian who will fill out the form and be in possession of the firearm(s)
  • Juniors are allowed to compete in Canada under the supervision of a parent, guardian or range officer
  • When returning to the USA - declare your firearms at the border to DHS upon re-entering the United States
  • Canadian firearms laws are federal - there are no differences in laws between provinces or territories (i.e. no matter where you enter Canada, the firearm laws are the same)

Things to know:

  • 12 round magazines are allowed
  • No semi-autos/gas guns
  • No pistols
  • No suppressors - however muzzle brakes are permitted
  • Hand loads are allowed
