Thanks to Match Director Tyler Jalbert, competitors were challenged with a thoughtfully designed course of fire that showcased the unique terrain of the Alberta prairies. The match featured a balanced mix of natural features, man-made props, and prone stages, with targets ranging from 300 to over 1,200 yards.
Wind was a constant factor, adding an extra layer of difficulty and rewarding those who could adapt quickly and manage their fundamentals under pressure. The stage design tested positional shooting, time management, and target transitions — offering a complete test of precision rifle skill.
A sincere thank you to Lapua for their continued commitment to growing the sport, and to the SAPRL team and volunteers for delivering a top-tier match experience. The 2025 Cactus Cup was not only a strong start to Canada’s PRS season — it was a true showcase of competitive excellence.
